Calico kitten Chloe is a lucky cat indeed!
She was hit by a car when she was just three months old and suffered a diaphragmatic hernia, a rupture of the diaphragm muscle that separates the chest cavity from the abdomen, resulting in her abdominal organs invading the thorax and giving her lungs no space to breathe anymore.
She was gasping for air when we found her in a nearby park.
We rushed her to the vet clinic where they performed emergency surgery on her. Chloe is a fighter and pulled through. Afterwards, she stayed for almost three weeks in the clinic to make sure that she would fully recover.
Now Chloe's wounds have fully healed and she's a playful and extremely friendly kitten. She loves to cuddle and to be pet, the closer the better. She's a real lap cat.
Chloe can be adopted into any kind of household. She makes an excellent indoor pet and is great with children.
With other cats, she's first very reserved and hisses a lot but will get used to feline company after the initial adaptation phase.
Chloe was born in June 2021.
